I am thrilled to say I received the People's Choice award again this year at this event. That means my painting will be used on all of their future marketing, including the posters, post cards, website, etc. It was a perfect week to paint in the Sierras: 75 degrees, a bit of wind, and still some snow on the peaks. The Sierra lupine were especially gorgeous...acres of blue and purple near the water. The staff said I received almost 40% of the total votes from all the viewers, so it was such a vote of confidence to keep trying my best! They may change the venue for next year, since there weren't as many visitors as last year during the food and wine event at North Star. I only sold one during the weekend, but there were very few other sales. We'll see what they decide to do about next year's event...I'll keep you posted.
